Performance of LINIT U-profiled glass

Transmission datas

The light transmission varies for single glazing from 0.88 % to 91.5 %, for
double glazing 0.50 % to 0.83 %. Also values of total solar energy gain can
be achieved for single glazing in the range between 0.83 % and 0.88 %, for
double glazing between 0.60 % and 0.80 %.
Concerning the reflection of the UV-light transmission especially the perfor-
mance of LINIT "klar" and the low iron LINIT "solar" is excellent.
All the values for light transmittance and total solar energy gain may deviate
within the usual tolerance limits for cast glass.

Optimized solar energy utilisation

LINIT U-profiled glass inherently provides high light transmission values of
up to 88 %, thanks to its high-quality low-iron content raw materials.

LINIT "solar", which is manufactured in a special production process, has an
even more highly optimised raw material composition and energy-optimised
surface structure, which allows for a higher degree of light transmission to
be achieved, of about 91.5 %, and a higher total solar transmission value of
 about 88 %.

Independently of these improved energy advances, this special glass can
also be produced in another variant, capable of reflecting a high proportion
of chemically-effective UV radiation, which in many contexts is regarded
as potentially harmful.

The LINIT TWD System, as an ecologically attractive and efficient solar con-
cept, combines the high-performing low iron LINIT "solar" special U-profiled
glass with efficient and aesthetically transparent thermal insulating materials.

All the values for light transmittance and total solar energy gain may deviate
within the usual tolerance limits for cast glass.
